A special honor for Arndt G. Kirchhoff, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the KIRCHHOFF Group: Minister-President Hendrik Wüst has awarded him the Order of Merit of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia.
With this distinction, the State Government recognizes individuals who have rendered outstanding services to North Rhine-Westphalia and its people. Arndt G. Kirchhoff is one of a total of 16 personalities who received the award this year.
In its statement, the State of North Rhine-Westphalia particularly highlighted that Arndt G. Kirchhoff successfully transformed the KIRCHHOFF Group into a globally oriented enterprise and further developed it into a leading company in the automotive supplier industry. In addition, his contributions to economic and industrial policy were recognized through his roles as a member of the Executive Board of the Federation of German Industries (BDI), President of the German Economic Institute (IW Cologne), President of the Association of Business Associations of North Rhine-Westphalia, and President of the Metal and Electrical Industry Association of North Rhine-Westphalia.
The award also acknowledges his longstanding commitment to science, education, and the economic development of the South Westphalia region.
