KIRCHHOFF Automotive North America (KANA) is proud to celebrate a major quality milestone, with four plants — North York, Manchester, Waverly, and Querétaro — receiving the prestigious General Motors Supplier Quality Excellence Award.
This recognition reflects the strength of our quality management systems and the consistent efforts of teams across the region. It also highlights the high standards required to stand out in today’s competitive automotive environment, where strong performance alone is no longer enough.
Senior Director of Quality Tom Glavas emphasized the significance of this achievement and the capabilities behind it:
“We are proud to say that KANA has built some of the strongest quality management systems of the last decades, supported by exceptional Quality Managers whose level of execution is truly world class!”
Adding to this perspective, Waverly Quality Manager Seth Aldridge said it is an honor for his team to receive such an award.
“This award represents more than quality numbers or performance metrics — it represents the hard work, commitment, and pride that every person in this organization brings every single day. From the production floor to leadership, from shipping to quality control, this achievement belongs to all of us,” he said.
To be recognized by a company with the standards and reputation of GM means a great deal, Seth noted.
“It tells us that the work we do matters, that our dedication is seen, and that the partnerships we build are making a real impact,” he said.
Seth is proud of the accomplishment, but even more proud of the people behind it.
“Thank you to our entire team for your relentless effort, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence. Today we celebrate this award — and tomorrow we keep pushing to be even better. Thank you,” he said.
What sets KANA apart is the ability to consistently deliver at a high level while maintaining trust with customers. Tom highlighted that this recognition goes beyond metrics, reflecting how teams respond to challenges and support customer operations without disruption.
Tom also noted that achievements like this help strengthen long-term customer relationships and future opportunities.
“Exceptional quality and performance are what place suppliers among the elite organizations recognized by OEMs,” he said.
For the first time, four KANA plants received this award in the same year — an accomplishment that underscores the alignment, discipline, and teamwork across the region. The recognition is especially meaningful given the scale of GM’s supplier network and the select group that receives this distinction.
Tom also highlighted the importance of partnership, emphasizing that the award represents more than performance outcomes. It reflects a strong, trusted collaboration built over time between KIRCHHOFF Automotive and GM.
This achievement would not be possible without the dedication and leadership of employees across the organization. Special recognition was given to key contributors whose focus on quality and execution played an important role in earning this award.
“Achievements like this do not happen by chance… they are result of passion, discipline, teamwork, and leaders who inspire organizations to perform beyond expectations!” emphasized Tom.
Congratulations to all teams involved in this outstanding accomplishment. This milestone reflects the shared commitment to delivering excellence and continuing to build strong partnerships with our customers.
