On November 5 in Manchester, USA, we launched the “1,785 Trees for the Future” program at our first site in North America. The number of trees is based on the year the Group was founded, in 1785). In perfect weather, 53 employees and their families planted the first 100 trees in the presence of our Cultural Officer Thomas Kirchhoff. All participants were proud that they could contribute to climate protection with this activity. Another 1,685 trees were planted in the following days with the help and advice of the Tennessee Environmental Council.
The goal of the program is that we will eventually have planted nearly 100,000 trees at the KIRCHHOFF Group locations.
