Running together, making a difference together

In late August and early September, almost 48,000 people took part in the 15th edition of the Poland Business Run, Poland’s largest charity relay race, in Krakow. As in previous years, employees from our locations in Mielec, Gliwice and Gniezno joined the event with great enthusiasm.

The event combines sport and teamwork with an important social cause, supporting people with physical disabilities and women after mastectomy. With their participation, our colleagues have shown that teamwork can make a difference both on and off the workplace.

Outstanding individual performances

The fastest individual result among our employees achieved Dariusz Młodzikowski from Gniezno, who completed the 4 km distance in an impressive 17:01. He was closely followed by Marcin Dering from Gliwice with a time of 17:09, and Jakub Trojanowski from Mielec, who finished in 17:35. Congratulations also go to Rafał Wardziński, who achieved the best individual result among the Mielec participants, and to Monika Zaklikiewicz-Hapon, the fastest female runner representing the Gliwice team.

Strong results from our relay teams

The fastest relay team was the “Power Team” from Mielec, completing the race in 1:37:46. The “Men Power” team from Gniezno finished in 1:46:30, followed by the “Top Team” from Gliwice with a time of 1:48:43.

We also joined the PBR Walk

Not all participants chose to take part in the running competition. Some participated in the PBR Walk, the walking event held as part of Poland Business Run. Also this team actively supported the charity initiative and showed that every step counts when it comes to helping others.

A special mention goes to Crashy, who accompanied our team throughout the event. Our mascot attracted plenty of attention from participants and supporters, bringing smiles and additional energy to the event.

More than a race

Poland Business Run is about much more than sport and competition. It brings together tens of thousands of people who want to contribute to a meaningful cause. Also this year, the Poland Business Run Foundation will be able to support more beneficiaries by helping to provide prostheses and wheelchairs and by funding rehabilitation.

Thank you to all employees from our Polish plants who took part in the run or walk, cheered for their colleagues and supported the initiative in any way!
